No, this is not a political event. First Image does not have any political ties. Our event is focused on raising awareness of the services we offer and financial support to continue to bring compassionate care to the vulnerable in our city.
Yes, the course at Champoeg State Park is stroller accessible. We do recommend a jogging stroller for a better experience. Much of the park is wheelchair accessible, including the parking areas, restrooms, and trail loop. This is a family-friendly event, and we want all family members to be able to participate.
Dogs are welcome at Champoeg State Park but must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times, except while in the off-leash dog park.
First Image has covered your day parking permit, so do not stop at a kiosk on the way in. Follow the signs and park in the overflow parking lot closest to the Pavilion.
Yes, we’ll have some merchandise available for purchase at our merch tent!
No specific theme this year. However, there will be a prize for the best team costume, so if you are participating as part of a team, you get to create your own theme!
Yes! Lunch is provided after the run at the Memorial Pavilion for those who register! There will be limited dietary friendly meals (gf and vegan) available, first come, first served.
Registration
All event attendees should register, even small children, whether they are fundraising or not. This allows us to have an accurate count for our vendors. By registering, you will also receive important communications from us regarding event details.
Registration is free! However, if you would like to pre-order a participant t-shirt, register by April 16 and you will have the option to add a t-shirt for only $10 (after April 16, t-shirts will no longer be available for pre-order, but a limited amount will be available for $25 each at the event).
You can register as a fundraiser and work to gather donations individually, or as part of a team!
Fundraising Rewards
Nope, registration is free and we don’t require anyone to fundraise. But to make the most impact for the ministry, please consider making a personal donation or fundraising.
Participant t-shirts are not included in fundraising rewards this year. Participant t-shirts are available for pre-order for only $10 if you register by April 16. If you register after April 16, t-shirts will be available for $25 at the event, while supplies last.
There are three tiers of fundraising rewards this year: 1. If you raise over $200, you earn a travel mug. 2. If you raise over $700, you earn a sweatshirt. 3. If you raise over $2,000, you earn a digital camera.
Participants who raise these amounts individually are eligible for rewards. If you are participating as part of a team, this does not count collective team fundraising amounts, but rather the individual amount your page contributed to your team.
Please note, participant t-shirts are not rewards this year but are available to pre-order for $10 with your registration before April 16, or at the event for $25, while supplies last.
Most rewards will be available at the event at Champoeg State Park. We will also have a time available to pick up your rewards after the event at our Headquarters office in SE Portland. Keep an eye out for an email after the event stating when this HQ pickup time will be.
*Rewards are subject to availability and may be received after the event.
We are doing awards a little differently this year! This is who we will be recognizing:
Top Overall Fundraiser, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Top Fundraising Team Fundraiser with the Most Donors Race Winners, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Best Team Costume The Pacemaker Award - given to a fundraiser who stands out as someone who's heart is steadily aligned with the heart of our mission.
