This summer, I’m running a marathon (!!)—and I’m using every mile to support a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart: First Image. I’m proud to be part of the First Image team, where I get to witness real hope every day. We serve women in the Portland area who are facing unexpected pregnancies, offering professional medical care, compassionate support, and long-term resources. I’m honored to run on behalf of the women and families we walk alongside.

Training for 26.2 miles has stretched me in more ways than I expected—but it’s also been a powerful reminder that I can do hard things with purpose. In many ways, choosing to work at First Image has been its own step of faith. The work we do sits at the center of a deeply complex and often polarizing conversation. And yet, what I’ve found at the heart of this ministry is not division, but grace. It’s reminded me how big God truly is, how far His goodness reaches, and how His grace covers not only the women we serve, but also those who land on a different side of the conversation… and me, too. When the work gets hard or uncomfortable, I’ve found myself praying over and over again, “Lord, break my heart for what breaks Yours."

As I take on this challenge, I’m inviting others to take a step of faith with me. Your support—through prayer, encouragement, or giving—can help bring compassion, hope, and tangible support to women in Portland who need it most. Would you join me?
